Monocot Collection

Our introductory capsule collection consists of 8 unique styles created from deadstock surplus goods. The 'Monocot' collection not only gives new life to deadstock fabrics but also contributes to Azubuike and Nneji Akunne's return to the African continent.

When creating this collection, we looked inward at what makes us who we are. Both having studied sciences and additionally working in sustainable retail design, we wanted to create a collection that spoke to our educational backgrounds, while contributing to the circular economy. Each textile used can be attributed to the microscopic view of phytology (the study of plants). 

All items are made-to-order and are sewn locally in our Lagos studio.
